    Cardinals Offense is ALIVE

Cardinals win 4 in a row sweeping the Reds and scoring 27 runs in the series. Can they sustain the offensive momentum?
  3. This week tested my patience. Not towards the Cardinals… But towards the fan base. The first two games against the Mets in Citi Field didn’t go as planned losing 9-4 on Thursday then 6-2 yesterday. Fans across forums and message boards all over social media called for a change in staff. http://www.archcity.media/2018/04/01/dear-cardinal-nation-cards-are-fine/
  4. When the St. Louis Cardinals step on the field to face the New York Mets on Thursday, March 29 for Opening Day, one thing is clear… Two of the best pitchers are going to light up the guns, and make opposing batters look foolish. 5. I personally have been hyped about Mikolas after doing more research on him. Mikolas has been vastly underappreciated by the fan base simply because the fans believe the Cardinals could have spent money elsewhere. But for the money, Mikolas is a smart move. Even if he struggles we have arms in waiting that can take over a rotation spot (Reyes, Hudson, Gant). Even Flaherty could step back in assuming he will be sent back down once Waineright returns. And if Mikolas is moved to the bullpen, it hurts way less when he is making only $7.75M as opposed to $20M or more. Munoz Earns His Spot

Every year there seems to be a player that ends up making the roster but nobody expected. This season it was Yairo Muñoz. This kid earned it. He is listed as a shortstop, but has played 2B, 3B, CF, and RF during his time in the Minors. The Cardinals have a habit of adding “utility” players, like Skip Schumacher, Daniel Descalso, Greg Garcia, Jedd Gyorko, and Matt Carpenter, so Muñoz is no different. He played lights out all spring batting .375 with 3 home runs and a ridiculous 1.048 OPS, which has earned himself a spot on the club. Cardinals don't have a closer...Yet

According to the Cardinals front office, the Cardinals do not currently have a closer. Only a few months ago, Luke Gregerson was named the closer, but it now seems the Cards will go by committee in 2018. Read more http://www.archcity.media/2018/03/23/cardinals-dont-have-a-closer-yet/
  8. Back in early January I wrote up a piece about the “State of the Cardinals Rotation.” Many Cardinal fans believed there was much left to be desired with the Cardinals current rotation. And in January, I’d have to say I agreed, but I’m starting to change my mind. Read More http://www.archcity.media/2018/03/14/state-of-the-cardinals-rotation-spring-training-edition/

Lynn Agrees to Terms with Minnesota

Fans have been clamoring for the Cardinals to re-sign starting pitcher Lance Lynn. As of today that is no longer an option. Read more http://www.archcity.media/2018/03/10/lynn-agrees-to-terms-with-minnesota/

    It's Just Spring Training

It seems that the Cardinal fanbase has already made up their mind on a number of Cardinal players… Spring training is a time for players to iron out the kinks in their game. Pitchers work on their control, while also trying to polish their stuff. They want the breaking stuff to have a bite and they want to command the fastball. Spring training is the time to work on these things, because that’s what it’s for. Training… Read More http://www.archcity.media/2018/03/07/its-just-spring-training/
